Dear ABA Churches in the Great State of Florida,
First Thonotosassa is excited to host the upcoming Florida State Youth Assembly August 4th-6th. We look forward to having youth from all over the state join us for worship, workshops, fellowship, and yes a whole lot of fun! I prayerfully hope you will consider bringing the youth of your church to this special annual event.
We sent out some digital information several months ago in regard to the Hotel Arrangements for the meeting, but here is that information one more time incase you have not yet booked. We have a block of rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn in Plant City, FL for $129/night which includes a free hot breakfast. From the hotel it is just a 10-minute near straight drive to the church. The hotel is located right off of I-4 with several food and snack options nearby. Rooms must be booked by JULY 7TH, only a week or so away; so please get those rooms reserved ASAP. We want to make things as easy and comfortable for all of our guests coming to State Youth this year, so the church as elected to provide all meals including lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, and supper on Monday and Tuesday.
We have several activities lined up. We invite everyone to join us for a meal on Monday evening at the church and to hang out and play games. On Tuesday afternoon after lunch we will go to Brandon Crossroads Bowling for 2 hours of bowling fun! The cost is $15 per person. Then after the evening service we will head to Family Fun Center in Lakeland, FL for Laser Tag, Putt Putt, and Arcades. Again the cost is $15 per person. Please bring payment for activities during registration on Monday, as we will pay with one church check at each location.
Guys, we really are so pumped to have you with us and cannot wait for a great gathering of some of the best young people in our state! Make plans to join us now. If you’ve never brought a group to State Youth, let this be the year you begin! We look forward to the blessing of having you at First Thonotosassa Missionary Baptist Church.
